Job Description

Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for one of our large Vancouver clients. Our client is a leader in their field and is seeking a dynamic individual with an industry background focused on corporate reporting with industry experience.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly consolidated financials, including supplemental schedules and explanation of significant variances
Prepare monthly financial reports and review invoices for wholly owned subsidiaries & client entities
Prepare monthly journal entries and run FX revaluation and translation
Review and reconcile monthly Fixed Assets, IFRS 16, Prepaid Expense & Amortization entries
Mentor junior team members
Review monthly schedules prepared by junior team members
Assist with annual audit and compilation engagements
Assist Tax Team with quarterly financial statements and preparation of annual tax schedules
Prepare quarterly government & industry surveys
Support systems maintenance and new implementations
Assist in ad hoc requests and analysis (for example, build new excel reports, provide excel advice and guidance)

Requirements:

4 years of industry experience
Real-Estate background would be considered an asset but not a requirement
Ideally holding a CPA designation or close to completing one
Experience with Yardi, Concur, and strong Excel knowledge
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with other business units and senior leadership

Remuneration:

$80,000 - $90,000 + Bonus
