Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:
Alexis Fiscal Advisory is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our office facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, addressing repair requests, and ensuring the overall functionality and safety of our office building and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to handle various maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and inspections of office facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and building infrastructure.

• Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair various issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and office equipment. Handle repairs for furniture, fixtures, and general office space concerns.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all facilities comply with safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular safety checks and address any potential hazards promptly.

• Building Systems Management: Monitor building systems to ensure proper functioning, such as security systems, fire alarms, and elevators. Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance as needed.

• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment and facilities.

• Facility Cleanliness & Organization: Assist with maintaining a clean and organized environment in common areas, restrooms, and workspaces.

• Vendor Coordination: Work with outside contractors and vendors to complete more complex maintenance tasks, ensuring quality work is done in a timely manner.

• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Report any significant issues or repairs needed to management.

• Emergency Maintenance: Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime or disruptions to business operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in building maintenance is preferred.

• Proven experience in maintenance or facilities management, with a solid understanding of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle a variety of maintenance tasks independently.

• Basic knowledge of safety standards and building codes.

• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment effectively and safely.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors.

• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in an office or corporate setting.

• Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies or green building practices.

• Ability to operate basic power tools and equipment for repairs and maintenance.

• Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems is a plus.
