Director, Enterprise Application Services

Reporting to the AVP, Digital Transformation & CIO, the Director of Enterprise Application Services (EAS) will provide visionary leadership in modernizing and managing BCIT’s enterprise business applications. These include ERP (currently Banner), web applications, data management, and quality assurance services. The Director will be instrumental in crafting and implementing strategies, plans, and policies that align with the Institute’s technology goals and driving innovation.

A major responsibility will be developing the ERP roadmap, including a transition to a cloud-based system. Additionally, the Director will streamline the software inventory, identifying and eliminating unused licenses to enhance resource efficiency.

As a strategic advisor to the CIO and an integral member of the ITS leadership team, the Director will ensure the realization of ITS responsibilities, strategies, goals, and projects. The role requires building a comprehensive understanding of the Institute’s environment and working closely with senior leaders and departments to foster collaboration and achieve mutual goals. The Director will also engage with various partners to develop plans in line with ministry mandates, focusing on the modernization of applications and associated services.

The successful candidate will engage with sector peers, vendors, and technology providers to ensure BCIT stays at the forefront of technological advancements. By promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, the Director will drive the transformation of services across the Institute.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader with a proven track record in ERP implementation and the capability to lead complex, multi-year projects. They possess a comprehensive understanding of how technology drives business value and operational success in large, multi-faceted environments and are adept at navigating these complex landscapes to ensure effective change management and collaboration.

The salary range for the Director, Enterprise Application Services position is $149,823 – 215,370 and the control point is $187,278. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and the control point of the salary range for a job, taking internal equity into account.
