Are you seeking a Senior Accountant position with variety working for a respectful workplace with good balance? Reporting to the CFO of this group of junior mining companies, this is a great opportunity to join this tight knit team, learn and do good work while feeling respected, and valued with good balance in this hybrid role!

Who - the Company:
Our client is a tight knit small junior mining Corporate Office located downtown Vancouver. This is interesting work with variety, that offers flexibility with hybrid work 2-3 days a week in an office that has a casual family feel.

What - the Role:
This is a newly created Senior Accountant opportunity due to a newly acquired organization earlier this year to support not only this new acquired company, but also the consolidation of the group of companies (roughly 12 entities). This is a great industry role with an experienced but small tight knit team. The CFO this role reports to has longevity with the company and is very respectful of team members.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation of consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements including note disclosures, supporting lead sheets, working papers and schedules.
Preparing journal entries including foreign exchange for day to day and period end transactions.
Preparing the Budget and cash flow tracking reporting and updating budgets and variance analysis.
Assisting with management discussions and analysis.
Assisting with audit requirements, tax forms and filings and accounting projects as required.
Supporting accounts payable, invoicing and EFT payment support and wire transfers when the bookkeeping is not working and as volume fluctuates.
Liaise with Mexico and Swedish accountants and staff on financials and budget.
Coordinate foreign exchange, manage files and support other administrative tasks as needed.

Who - the Candidate:
We are seeking a detail oriented designated accountant with multi-entity foreign exchange experience to join this growing team. Ideal is someone that an operate with autonomy but enjoy working in a small tight knit team-oriented environment. Public company and/or junior mining experience is considered an asset.

Other characteristics include:

Someone that can tie out working papers but realize the big picture.
Have experience with foreign exchange.
Be respectful in the workplace and value honestly, trust and collaboration.
Operate with autonomy working with great people that value accountants time and skill set.

Where:
Hybrid located in Vancouver. This role will be 4 days in office during training but after can be in office 2-3 days a week.

How Much:
$90-110,000 plus discretionary bonus depending on experience. We also offer competitive benefits with a health spending account and the possibility of discretionary options.
