Job Description

Are you looking to make a significant impact in a reputable company? We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, including ensuring approvals, coding and entering invoices, and processing payments. In this role, you will also assist with accounts receivable collections and processing payments.

What- The Role:

Matching and entering receiving documents associated with inventory purchases
Coding and entering all accounts payable invoices
Preparing and creating cheques for vendors and suppliers
Matching and recording wire transfers and cheque payments to invoices
Entering vendor rebates and chargebacks
Reconciling vendor statements with open payables
Coding and entering credit card payments
Perform bank reconciliations
Assisting with accounts receivable, entering deposits and answering customer queries
Other duties as assigned

Who- the Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting
Good knowledge of MS Office with above average Excel skills
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Very organized and detail oriented
Excellent English language skills both written and verbal
Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite

Our client purchases most of their products in USD so a candidate that has foreign exchange accounting experience would be ideal. Seeking candidates interested in a long-term position with growth potential.

How much:
$60,000 + extended health plan with Canada Life after first 3 months, staff discounts on all their products, volunteer leave, staff recognition and team celebrations

Where:
North Vancouver, hybrid working schedule with at least 3 days in the office, however full time in the office to start will be required to build relationships and get up to speed.
