Job Description
6 month contact Senior Portfolio Manager contract role on a long term, highly innovative team with a global enterprise organization

As a result of investment in technology and process, our client is looking to add a Portfolio Manager to their enterprise team. This team is dedicated to driving delivery excellence and maximizing business value by advancing the maturity of portfolio teams and aligning with organizational transformation. Their mission is to drive delivery excellence and transformation within the organization by managing the overall health of the portfolio, facilitating strategic sessions, and enabling decision-making through real-time visibility and analysis. This role is responsible for overseeing the overall health of the portfolio, including annual operation planning, financial health, delivery practices, and strategic sessions. You will ensure effective governance, strategic alignment, and successful delivery of projects while managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder relationships. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment, 3 days a week on site.
You:You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in managing large-scale technology portfolios, focusing on governance, rhythm of business, risk management, reporting, and setting up an operating model Candidates with proven experience including annual operation/financial planning (AOP), ongoing financial health reporting, and delivery practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in risk and issue management, ensuring quality delivery and portfolio health.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide coaching and support to portfolio managers and leads.
- Successful track record with dependency management and cross-functional projects mapping. Need concrete example in facilitating through multi-year (2-3 years) integrated roadmap exercises, ensuring alignment and mitigating risks.
Compensation:
This role pays between $90-100 per hour.
