About the Program:
The Workplace Essential Skills Training (WEST) Program serves neurodivergent adults and focuses on: vocational planning, employment preparation, personal management skills for life and work, and job skills for work in the service sector. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on training in work sites.
About the Role:
Under Direction of the Chair of the WEST program and reporting to the tiwšɛmawtxʷ Campus Administrator, this position will instruct the courses outlined below, prepare course materials, provide individual and group instruction, facilitate student support, conduct student evaluations, complete all required grading and record keeping, liaise with the WEST department chair and tiwšɛmawtxʷ Program Coordinator, participate as an active member of the instructional team, and participate in staff meetings and committees as required.

Year 1 - Module 3 Retail & Food Services
March 24, 2025, to June 27th, 2025
14 hours per week of direct instruction.

Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree with 24 credits in a relevant discipline and a master's degree, both from an appropriately accredited institution; teacher training or proven related experience in teaching adults demonstrated by teaching experience with corroborating positive evaluations.
- Upon offer of employment, successful applicant(s) must complete and sign a Consent to a Criminal Record Check form as per the Criminal Records Review Act.
- BCGEU: $71,846 - $115,129 per annum (prorated if part-time).
- Faculty are placed on the BCGEU salary scale based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement, to an initial maximum of $89,412 per annum
