Job Summary

The Team
The Legal Services Branch (LSB) is the official legal advisor to the government of British Columbia, ensuring that public affairs are conducted lawfully. With around 210 lawyers and 205 support staff, the LSB is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace, recognizing that varied perspectives strengthen our ability to support government ministries, the Attorney General, Cabinet, Crown corporations, and public agencies. The Role
As a Team Lead, you will provide crucial leadership to a diverse team of Document Clerks and Legal Document Administrators, ensuring efficient management of electronic and paper documents. This role involves coordinating workflows, resolving client or operational issues, and offering expert advice on complex tasks. Your commitment to fostering an inclusive environment will be essential in supporting the legal team as they represent the Province in litigation and document discovery cases.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation.
  • A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience within an office environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience delegating work.
  • Experience providing client service in a high volume, fast paced, environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience dealing with highly sensitive, confidential documents, and fragile documents and materials.


Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Experience with electronic database systems such as, FTK-Central (Forensic Toolkit).
  • Supervisory experience.
