Overview

We're looking for an Analytics Solutions Engineer (Business Intelligence Analyst) for our Analytics and Data Lifecycle Services (ADLS) department.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing analytics solutions (e.g. dashboards, reports, conditional emails) and conducting analyses on a wide variety of issues (e.g., occupational health and safety, financial risk exposure, and disability management) using various sources of business data and communicating findings and related interpretations/observations with primarily, but not exclusively, an internal audience.

What you'll do

As an analytics solutions engineer, you will:
  • Develop analytics solutions such as reports, dashboards, analytics apps and conduct analyses on a wide variety of issues (e.g. occupational health and safety, financial risk exposure, disability management)
  • Capture, analyze, and document detailed requirements from our internal customers in order to design, develop, and support new and currently offered high quality business intelligence reporting solutions, both from strategic and operational perspectives
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Sr Analytics Solutions Engineers, Sr Analytics Specialists, Data Scientists, and Analytics Delivery Managers to collectively deliver the best value for the opportunity
  • Work in a fast-paced Agile-style delivery environment

Is this a good fit for you?

We're looking for someone who can:
  • Design and develop solutions that will promote usability, standardization, and self-serve opportunities
  • Ensure that the client's changing solution requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner and translated into workable solutions
  • Turn data into information and information into actionable intelligence that drives an improved decision
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies that utilize analytics principles
  • Conduct data discovery, with minimal documentation, and navigate large complex data models to find what the customer is looking for
  • Write SQL as second nature and have used BI/analytics solution software (e.g. Power BI)

Your background and experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Business
  • A minimum of 18 months of directly related experience working in an analytics delivery capacity.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered

Salary: $ 41.55 - $52.35/hourly
