Job Summary
The Team

The Role
In this role at Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship (WLRS), you'll join an integrated team working on impactful stewardship and planning projects that build lasting partnerships with First Nations and support sustainable land and water use. Through meaningful collaboration, you'll explore diverse world views, engage in ethical dialogue, and help provide direction on land use decisions. About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a natural resource management related field plus 5 or more years of related experience*, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and/or training, plus 7 or more years of related experience* working in a natural resource discipline may be considered.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence or equivalent.
*Related experience includes:
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project or regional initiative.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects, in which innovative solutions were implemented to solve a unique or complex natural resource management problem.
- Demonstrated experience in a multiple partners environment understanding perspectives, conflicts, and facilitating/developing solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in distilling and communicating complex natural resource information to laypersons.
- Demonstrated experience related to First Nations consultation, collaboration and relationship building.
Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
- Demonstrated experience within the natural resource sector within British Columbia.
- Experience supervising or managing technical and/or professional staff in natural resource management.
- Experience and/or training in planning, particularly land use planning for natural resources.
- Experience and/or training in project management, including decision support.
- Recent training and/or current experience in the use of GIS applications to communicate complex geospatial information.
