Reporting to the Mill Processing General Supervisor, the Supervisor Mill Operations will be responsible for the operation to meet operating targets for safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.

In this role you will promote a workplace environment which supports safe and efficient behavior on the job and an awareness of and compliance with environmental, safety and Mine Act requirements.

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Actively participate in or chair monthly crew safety meetings
Actively supervise operations hourly employees, verify completion and quality of assigned work
Support regular continuous improvement and problem solving
Accountable for meeting/exceeding production targets
Accountable for maintaining minimum training requirements and re-certifications of hourly employees to meet operational demands

Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years relevant supervisory experience in mineral processing
Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Be a values-based leader who models and makes decisions aligned with Teck's values of; Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Excellence, Respect and Courage
Detail-oriented, adaptable, energetic
Possess a valid driver's license

Salary Range:$105,000- $129,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
