Senior Custom Upholsterer to join our growing company.

Job duties
Discuss upholstery fabric, colour, and style with customers and provide cost estimate for upholstering marine cabin interiors.
Lay out, measure, and cut upholstery materials according to sketches or design specifications.
Sew from custom patterns, including sewing heavy canvas material, using industrial/walking foot
sewing machines.
Ensure that all custom orders are completed to the highest standards, and we deliver a
top quality product to the client.
Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Terms of employment
The position is indeterminate, full-time (35 hours per week).
Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible
Wage
$35/h
Benefits
4% vacation pay
Company Health Spending Account (HSA) up to $2000 (maximum eligible expense of $1000 per 6 months) available after 6 months of work.

Skills requirements – Education and Work experience
Education:
Secondary school or several years of on-the-job training required.
Work Experience:
Minimum four years of experience as an upholsterer or similar.
Knowledge of fabricating canvas, upholstery, awning and large covers/tents is an asset.
Pattern making experience is an asset.
Language requirements
Ability to communicate both written and verbally in English is required
