Reporting to the Team Lead, Apps Engagement, the Senior Business Analyst will assist in the Business Applications Intake Process, the Applications Rationalization Process and Vendor Assessment. This motivated individual will collaborate with critical teams such as Finance, Corporate, Technology or Legal to understand business, partner and solution requirements. Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Build strong and trusting business relationships working closely with business unit leaders and representatives
  • Manage standard business analysis responsibilities as they relate to any solution delivery including:
  • Definition and documentation of requirements, workshop facilitations, and reviews
  • Accurate use of Themes, Epics, Features and User Stories
  • Business process mapping, improvement and data requirements definition
  • Participation in Agile Framework events
  • Providing mentorship to software developers
  • Collaborate with PMs or other leaders


    • Participate in building the business engagement framework and adopting business analysis standard practices
    • Collaborate towards developing performance indicators and measures to improve application management and solution delivery
    • Bring transparency to business and IT organizations regarding development and growing trust
    • Optimally identify trade-offs between short-and long-term benefits to drive a shared vision among the team and key partners
    • Engage partners by raising impediments, validating risk, and communicating status and performance metrics
    • Perform and achieve key targets on time, on quality, and within scope

    Qualifications

    • A degree, diploma or equivalent experience in either business or information systems is beneficial.
    • Experience working with geographically dispersed collaborators and development teams
    • Ten years of experience in business analysis (BA) in a software development environment with an emphasis in BA Planning and Monitoring, Solution Evaluation, and Requirements Analysis and Design Definition
    • IIBA CBAP and CSPO certification is an asset
    • A minimum of three years of applying solution evaluation and delivery using Agile framework
    • Proven knowledge crafting and communicating company cases
    • Business analyst qualifications or proven business understanding and ability to build strong business relationships
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor
    • Superb communication skills at all levels of the organization - able to propagate information promptly, clearly, and unambiguously and develop strong relationships with business representatives
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps
