As we expand into Canada, we are looking for a Remote Accountant to support our financial operations and ensure the smooth handling of our company’s finances.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Accountant to manage financial transactions, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience handling corporate finances, tax compliance, and budgeting for an expanding company.

Responsibilities:

Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance.
Conduct financial forecasting and budget planning.
Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian tax regulations.
Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification (preferred but not required).
Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a retail or e-commerce business.
Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian tax laws and accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
