Job Description

CERTIFIED HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC

You'll Do:
  • repair and maintenance of industrial equipment such as Log Loaders, Wheel Loaders, Forklifts, and other mobile equipment used the manufacture of lumber
  • continually ensure the quality and standards of service to safety and production are maintained
  • verify and document repairs made
  • work in a safe manner using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

You Have:
  • a valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial journeyperson mechanic certification
  • ability to read manuals and schematics
  • knowledge of hydraulics
  • commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace
  • ability to work independently with little supervision
  • strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills
  • flexible schedule to work, day, evening, and weekend shifts
  • strong asset to those with experience working in a fleet shop; Cummins and Cat engine experience; and/or a strong electrical background

    Compensation Package:
    • The hourly pay for this position is $46.42
    • Outstanding benefits package including dental, extended health, pension, life insurance, disability/accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.
