Job Description
Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice (the Division) works together with local physicians, health authorities, and other stakeholders from Squamish to Whistler to improve heath care and patient outcomes in our communities.
As a non-profit society, our Division is committed to working collaboratively with local physicians, nurse practitioners, health authorities and other stakeholders to improve health care and patient outcomes by: providing community residents with access to high quality primary care; increasing the voice of family practitioners and nurse practitioners in the health care system; and fostering a collegial work environment for healthcare practitioners within the community and enhancing professional fulfillment.
About the RoleReporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director develops and/or leverages strong local, regional, and provincial partnerships and promotes the well-being, involvement, and leadership of physicians and healthcare providers. The Executive Director provides organizational leadership, while building upon our vision of a network of healthy and engaged family physicians driving primary care that is reflective and responsive to our diverse community.
The Executive Director has direct oversight of operations including organizational leadership, financial management, member programming and engagement, and day-to-day operations. The Executive Director fosters strong relationships with the Board, staff, healthcare providers, local health authorities, government, and the community, with a demonstrated commitment to healthcare, rural healthcare service and providers as well as community and patient care.
The Executive Director supports the governance oversight to two Primary Care Networks in the region, newly established to support family physicians, nurse practitioners, and other primary healthcare providers to deliver primary care service in a team-based approach that aligns with eight core attributes.
The salary for this position is $135,000 – $150,000 supplemented by a competitive total compensation package. This full-time position requires living and working within commuting distance to and within the Sea to Sky corridor between Squamish in Whistler, and having a valid drivers license with the ability to travel and attend meetings outside of regular working hours.
