Job Summary

The Team

The Child and Youth Services Team is a dedicated group of nine Administrative Assistants, led by an experienced Team Leader. This established team plays a crucial role in supporting Guardianship and Trust Officers to help manage the legal and financial decisions for youth across BC. The team is tight-knit and collaborative, working closely together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in the province.

The Role

In this highly administrative role, you'll provide essential support to program staff by composing correspondence, proofreading documents, maintaining team calendars, and more, ensuring the smooth operation of the team. You'll be at the heart of supporting legal and financial decisions for youth in BC, helping them navigate important aspects of their lives. The work is meaningful, providing a sense of fulfillment as you contribute to positive outcomes for young people. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience providing customer or client service, carrying out legal, administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • One (1) or more years of experienceproviding customer or client service, carrying out legal, administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.
  • Experience working directly or in person with vulnerable populations (e.g. vulnerable adults, persons with disabilities, children, heirs and beneficiaries and individuals with language, behavioural and/or cognitive barriers)
  • Completed Office Administration courses.

About this Position:

Flexible work options may be available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
