Job Description

9-month contract Business Systems Analyst with a major BC non-profit scaling their software to meet expanding business needs:
  • 9-month contact with high likelihood of extension
  • Opportunity to take part in a greenfield project from inception to go-live
  • Remote or hybrid – only very occasional days required in-office (near the False Creek area of Vancouver)

What & Why:
Our non-profit client has been incredibly successful in their fundraising efforts, which significant donations from both the government and the private sector. In order to meet the complex needs of managing these funds, our client is investing in new financial software. This is a completely greenfield project that you will be part of on day 1, from software selection to go-live.

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, mapping as is/to be statuses, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing and testing the system.

Who:
Our client is a major BC non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the province’s park system. They are a fully independent organization that work in close collaboration with First Nations and the BC government to raise funds to conserve and expand BC’s park systems, the 6th largest in the world that host 26 million visitors annually. Currently, about 15% of BC’s lands are protected through the park system. Our client’s goal is to provide funding to protect 30% of BC’s lands by 2030. Your work will directly contribute to the conservation of BC’s amazing parks and ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations of British Columbians and visitors.


You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
  • Senior level experience as a Business Systems Analyst, 7+ years
  • Full project cycle experience implementing an accounting software system, i.e. from software selection to go-live
  • Previous experience working with external vendors
  • Excellent communication skills working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of project and change management principles
  • Non-profit organization experience is an asset but not a must-have
Compensation:
$65/hr incorporated to $85/hr incorporated
