About the Role
This is an incredible opportunity for a business professional to join the IT Project Management team to be a part of organization wide impacts, supporting internal clients with business process review and gap analysis, improving the quality and efficiency of corporate decision-making through data integrations, business intelligence and reporting, and ensuring operational effectiveness through optimal implementation, improvement, and sustainment of enterprise business systems.
Reporting to the IT Project Manager, the Business Solutions Specialist performs technology project management, business analysis, integration development and sustainment, reporting and business intelligence. This role has organization-wide impact, assisting internal clients with business process review and gap analysis, improving the quality and efficiency of corporate decision-making through data integrations, business intelligence and reporting, and ensuring operational effectiveness through optimal Implementation, improvement, and sustainment of enterprise business systems.
This is a permanent full-time Union position (35 hours per week). Hybrid work is available as well as optional participation in our flex days program. The (2024) starting rate of pay is $40.97 per hour, increasing to $43.06 per hour after the 90 days worked probationary period. The position offers an attractive extended health and dental benefits package, including participation in the Municipal Pension Plan, as provided within the Collective Agreement between the Regional District of Nanaimo and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 401. This job requires travel to remote facilities, and by its nature, may involve exposure to sensitive personal and confidential information. As such, Criminal Records Check, an enhanced employee confidentiality agreement and a BC Class 5 Driver’s License will be required.
