POSITION SUMMARY
The Station Manager directs and coordinates project personnel and resources to ensure construction of their assigned Broadway Subway Project station is completed within the project schedule. The role is responsible for implementing all design and build activities associated with the station's construction with the authority to direct construction and production operations to the project/management plans. The role provides advice to the Project Management Team on resources needed to effectively implement the design with construction and production management on implementation of control measures to effectively manage the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all station construction activities, including supervision of commercial, industrial, municipal, and civil aspects, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, environmental standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with design teams, consultant engineers, subcontractors, and local authorities to ensure the project meets timelines, budget constraints, and quality expectations.
- Oversee project execution and resolve issues, ensuring all elements are completed within scope, budget, and schedule, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Review project costs and financials, update projections bi-weekly, and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors, treating them as partners while protecting company interests and seeking constructive resolutions to change orders.
- Conduct and lead regular progress and safety meetings, ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and union agreements.
- Analyze project set-up and decision-making paths, balancing timing, engineering costs, quality, and constructability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, leveraging individual strengths, assigning responsibilities, and offering constructive feedback to build a cohesive and effective unit.
- Ensure timely project close-out, resolving punch lists, and delivering all required documentation to leave a positive impression on clients.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field
- 5 years experience in a leadership role in heavy construction involving reinforced concrete structures such as powerhouses, subway stations, water intakes, and similar structures where electromechanical equipment will be installed.
- Demonstrated experience supporting construction planning of up to 3-6 months in advance and monitoring cost and time of resources within areas of accountability
- Led labour teams of at least 500 workers on two or more civil projects.
- Proficient in scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
Salary: $150,000
Term: 24 months
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Vacation: 20 days per year
