Job Description:

Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned FullStack Developer with foundational DevSecOps knowledge to enhance our development pipelines and ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and high-performing applications. In this role, you will work within the DevSecOps practice team to streamline pipeline integration points, testing processes, optimize build systems, and facilitate seamless deployments on a re-invented and highly customizable GitHub based pipeline

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application-Specific Pipeline Optimization
    • Analyze and optimize pipelines based on the architectural and performance characteristics of individual applications, ensuring high performance and reliability
    • Design, develop, and implement custom GitHub Actions and Workflows tailored to the unique needs of various application teams, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of CI/CD pipelines
    • Implement pipeline enhancements that address unique application requirements, such as specific build processes, testing frameworks, or deployment strategies
  • End-to-End Pipeline Integration
    • Leverage comprehensive FullStack development experience to integrate CI/CD pipelines seamlessly with both front-end and back-end components of applications
    • Ensure that pipeline configurations support the complete application lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and monitoring
  • Enhance customized GitHub workflows.
    • Develop reusable GitHub workflows that focus on custom application requirements to address unit testing, integration testing, and end-end (E2E) tests for both front-end (eg: Cucumber) and backend (eg: Junit) components
    • Ensure proper handling of front-end artifacts such as bundled assets, client-side security measures, and performance optimizations
    • Update and maintain unified pipeline configurations to ensure consistency and reliability across all testing environments to minimize deployment issues
    • Develop workflows that can support Dark Launches, Canary Deployments, Blue-Green Deployments with application context
  • Custom Tool Development
    • Design and implement tools to perform bulk scanning of GitHub repositories for vulnerabilities, code quality issues, and compliance adherence, ensuring consistent security standards across all projects.
    • Develop automation scripts or applications that manage, and streamline pull requests (PRs), such as automatically labeling, assigning reviewers, or merging based on predefined criteria
    • Build systems that generate and distribute automated reports on pipeline performance, security vulnerabilities, and code quality metrics to relevant stakeholders
    • Contribute to the development of PoCs for new tools and automation strategies, evaluating their feasibility and potential impact on the DevSecOps processes
  • Collaboration & Feedback
    • Document custom pipeline configurations, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and facilitate onboarding of new team members
    • Create comprehensive guides and training materials that empower development teams to effectively utilize and maintain their customized pipelines

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of full-stack development experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
    • Strong back-end development skills using languages/frameworks like Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
    • Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
    • Familiarity with UI testing frameworks, preferably Selenium.
    • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a must
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with infrastructure platforms such as VMC, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of security best practices and implementing security measures in the development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
