This contributor plans, prioritizes and delivers solutions that represent the best value technology spend while observing technology governance within prescribed limits. Manages and maintains the ongoing solutions delivered to the designated business/group. Acts as a platform or application owner. Manages the end-to-end development process to ensure that the right solutions are delivered and addresses any operational concerns once in production. Delivers on time and one budget and adheres to required standards.

About the role:

Strategic / Thought leadership:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and provide strategic input and direction into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Participate in the development of business/group strategic plans to enable annual results as well as results over a longer timeframe.
  • Provide support to determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Drive and implement changes in response to shifting trends.

Technology ownership:
  • For internal stakeholders, be an effective primary point of contact and ownership for planning, delivery, and management of technology solutions.
  • Help negotiate technology priorities; develop and maintain a financially sound integrated investment plan and drive results.
  • Help to evaluate external vendor offerings and select cost-effective service providers who will deliver (when required).

Project delivery:
  • Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates development team activities for multiple initiatives of varying complexity to meet client demands, while maintaining defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and technical stewardship over platform application
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the completion of project deliverables and support of applications maintains alignment with the Lines of Business (LOBs) strategies.
  • Must have experience and been involved with large-scale migration and transformation projects.
  • The role will identify key business objectives and provide solution recommendations. Will manage scope of projects from inception to closure and define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets. Will also be responsible for coordinating resources, preparing project teams for kickoff and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
  • Liaises with stakeholders, such as internal teams, vendors, the business teams, and corporate technology partners, to understand problems and opportunities and, recommends solutions to enable the achievement of organizational goals. Builds exceptional relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Acts as a thought leader in development, builds deeper relationships with key stakeholders, and demonstrates expert-level skills in coding across multiple languages, LOB's, and/or technology areas.
  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Ensures ongoing viability of technology platform assets.

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
Salary :

$92,400.00 - $171,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
