BC Cancer - Prince George is a full-service cancer centre that serves 1100+ new patients annually. On site assets include CT simulation, two linear accelerators with cone beam CT, Intensity Modulation, VMAT, SABR, FSRT and a vaginal vault brachytherapy program. A collaborative and innovative nursing, physics, dosimetry and radiation therapy team provides medical oncology, diagnostic (in partnership with Northern Health Authority) and support services.
Our Radiation Oncology team is committed to excellence in clinical care and focused on developing academic excellence in a provincial cancer care environment. BC Cancer's population-based model and databases enable strong outcome-based research, while the centre actively participates in and leads international clinical trials.
The successful candidate will collaborate on clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities, and provincial tumor group participation is encouraged.
Applicants must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and must have obtained their Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the RCPSC (or hold an equivalent qualification) by the time of appointment. The successful applicant will receive a clinical appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Radiation Oncology, and will have privileges through both the Provincial Health Services Authority and our partner health authority, Northern Health, at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. Canadian Immigration regulations accord preference to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants.
