Job Description
6-month contract Data Quality Engineer role working on a growing team delivering data and analytics solutions for a global enterprise organization
What & Why:
As a result of growth our client is looking to add a Data Quality Engineer to a growing team. This team supports people technology for a global workforce. They support a fully integrated tech stack that has many integrations to downstream partners. In this role you will work closely with the development team, QA lead, and BA to test data pipelines from source to target, as well as associated egresses and reports. Additionally, you will build automated test scripts in a big data environment. This is a really cool opportunity to join a growing team as they continue to build out their data and analytics capabilities.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 7+ years of experience with a mix of manual and automated testing within complex data environments
- 3-5+ years of experience in programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala, SQL, R
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for testing within cloud-based data ecosystems
- Demonstrated experience with SQL performing data validation against requirements
- Experience with ETL testing, with data from multiple sources
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for developing and executing automated test scripts and experience in performance testing in a big data environment
- Experience with Azure cloud services (Databricks, Data Factory and Data Lake) a plus
- Experience in retail and HR data testing, including test planning and execution a plus
Compensation: this role pays between $65-75 per hour
