JOB OVERVIEW: PROJECT LEADER

This position is responsible for providing project management, technology planning, business area analysis, systems design and client support services to users of Kwantlen's Information Technology (IT) systems.

General Requirements:
  • University degree with a major in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Information Technology environment, which includes 5 years of direct experience in enterprise cloud architecture conception and 3 years recent related experience in or supporting post-secondary enterprise systems. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role in evaluating, developing and implementing Enterprise Cloud solutions. This position will be required to lead projects and work directly with university stakeholders to identify, assess and document business requirements with the ability to transform end-user needs into technical and functional requirements.
  • Progressive technical knowledge and knowledge of generative AI, best practices in information technology certifications such as Project Management, Agile SDLC and ITIL.
  • Certification in LEAN business processing. Proven work experience in business process analysis, developing LEAN business process methodologies.
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructures such as storage area networks, virtualization, high availability design, operating systems, network architecture, enterprise network management systems, etc.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to research, evaluate and plan the implementation of emerging technology.
  • Ability in architectural design, system design and heterogeneous systems integration.
  • Proven ability to work in a team or highly matrix-managed varied and diverse environment with multiple concurrent initiatives/projects simultaneously and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a highly matrix-managed, extremely busy, varied and diverse environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and articulate complex and technical concepts clearly with non-technical as well as technical personnel at all levels of the organization both written and orally.
  • Ability to shift working hours and to work occasionally on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Senior Enterprise Systems Architecture:
  • 3+ years working experience in a leadership role of evaluating, developing and implementing enterprise architecture including project coordination, monitoring, maintenance and administration that support enterprise systems.
  • Certifications in Windows Servers(current), Active Directory (AD), Azure Administrator and Identity and Access Administrator.
  • 3+ years of experience in authentication protocols such as SSO, MFA, Kerberos, etc.
  • 4+ years of experience managing Windows-based infrastructure with AD, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect
    (AADC), Windows domains, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments.
  • Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages for automation of AD, Azure AD, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration.
  • Strong expertise in DNS, DHCP, DFS, KMS, LAPS, certificate lifecycle, and Group Policy managements in a hybrid of on-premises and cloud AD environments.
  • Experience with maintaining AD domains, forests, trusts, and controllers, and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to organize devices, users, groups, and service accounts and enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and permissions.
  • Experience with monitoring system performance, security logs, and compliance reports for the Windows domain, AD, PKI, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), and Azure AD environments.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of identity and authentication services and provide technical support and guidance for domain, identity, certificate-related issues, patching, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure changes.
