Job Summary

The Team
The Ministry of Children and Family Development promotes and develops the capacity of families and communities to care for and protect vulnerable children and youth and supports healthy child and family development to maximize the potential of every child in BC. The Vancouver Coastal division is responsible for regional delivery of services and programs that support positive and healthy outcomes for children, youth and their families.

The Role
The Office Assistant provides general administrative, clerical, and program support to the work unit.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an office setting.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Post-secondary Administrative course work.
  • Experience working in a Social Services setting.
  • Experience working with ICM (Integrated Case Management) and Management Information System (MIS).
  • Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

About this Position:
There is one (1) temporary full time position available until March 7, 2025, with the possibility of extension and/or the position becoming permanent.
There is one (1) regular part time position available.
These positions have full time on-site requirements in Pemberton Office.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
