Position Summary
Are you a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department.

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist, performs laboratory work and related duties in the field of Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology, Accessioning, Phlebotomy, and gram stains.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 15:00 to 23:00 (Rotating)

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:
• Acute Care
• Internal medicine
• Internal Medicine
• Ultrasound
• CT scans
• Surgery
• Emergency department
• Extended care
• Pediatrics
• Radiology
• Obstetrics
• Gynecology
Additional services such as Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and other visiting specialists.

Qualfications
• Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS.
• Three to four years' recent related experience.
• Supervisory training and experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

• Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

• Knowledge and proficiency with computers including email word, excel and keyboarding skills.
