Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Fort Nelson.
Reporting to the Home & Community Care Program Manager and under the work direction of the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of tasks to support client care in the community. Duties include such tasks as supporting the Long Term Care Case Managers, and assisting in the duties that are associated with the Long Term Care Case Management Program. Duties are carried out in accordance with agency policies, procedures and philosophy of care.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days; Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 16:30
New Wage: As of April 1, 2024 the new wage is: $32.84 - $41.35/hour
Fort Nelson is located in the northernmost region of the Rocky Mountains and has a family and recreation-oriented community of 3,366 (2021) people. The country around Fort Nelson is vast and has an abundance of rivers, mountains, hot springs and wildlife viewing for the adventure seeker. Qualfications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.

• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Must be able to follow and work within the guidelines and policies set out by the Northern Health Authority.
