Job Summary
The Team
The North Fraser Integrated Practice Team (IPT) is a specialized regional Child & Youth Mental Health interdisciplinary team providing expertise in the field of trauma-informed practice through consultation and education. This team supports community care teams surrounding children in care to develop progressive interventions and strategies from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens. This includes working collaboratively with other MCFD teams, including guardianship, family services, resources and adoptions, to build capacity, helping to reduce barriers to communication and improving support for children and youth (0-18). Working in the North Fraser area we also support a large Indigenous population. Each member of the team brings a unique clinical perspective to the work in trauma-informed care, supporting children, youth, and families to prevent placement breakdowns, improve child and youth mental health, and strengthen care teams.
The Role
As an Integrated Practice Clinician, you will support the systems and people that protect vulnerable children and youth. You will build care teams and provide consultation, specialized education, and training to build the care team's capacity to support these individuals. By enhancing the community's capacity to support these individuals, this role creates a more inclusive and understanding environment for those affected by complex developmental trauma. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with diverse professionals, contribute to meaningful change, and develop creative interventions that make a lasting difference in the lives of clients and their support networks.
