Position Information
Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$77,391 to $87,652 annually. Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
The Infrastructure Analyst administers and maintains the college IT systems and network, providing operational support and subject matter expertise, translating technical information to individuals of both technical and non-technical backgrounds. They are responsible for project delivery and act as in-house consultants providing advice on technical direction for the college, designing and implementing College IT Infrastructure while providing leadership to technology projects and related teams. They proactively pursue knowledge and learn new technologies that contribute to College Strategic Directions, applying advanced understanding of new and existing disparate college systems and integrating technical components to create a coordinated solution that achieves the business objective. They design and maintain the Infrastructure components of enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) as it relates to Douglas College Business Continuity Plan (BC).

WHAT IT TAKES
• Successful completion of a two-year diploma program in Computer Information Systems at a recognized post-secondary institution, supplemented by five years' of directly related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience in computer systems administration, operating systems, directory services, software applications, and programming may be considered.
• Good working knowledge of English, both verbal and written
• Proven record and ability in:
• Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers, storage and backups.
• Administering and securing Windows, Linux, Unix operating systems.
• Understanding and demonstrating knowledge of the current networking protocols and applications.
• Configuration and operation of enterprise and data centre switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, network load balancers, , etc.
• Managing networks that span across multiple physical locations and virtual cloud sites
• Enterprise Voice over IP ( VOIP ) , Telephony Controllers and PBX , Unified Communications
• Microsoft Active Directory, M365, Azure Active Directory, ADFS , LDAPS and identity management integrations
Additional Information
• This regular full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting March 24, 2025.
• Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.
• Occasional work arrangements at our Coquitlam campus and Anvil Office Tower location will be required, as will occasional evening and/or weekend work.
• This position will work as part of the IT Operations Team within the unit focussed on the development and administration of Microsoft endpoint management and software delivery products and services, as well as other on prem and cloud computing delivery solutions.
