About the RoleReporting to the Director of Industry Relations, the Industry Relations Advisor is the link between the ARA and its Membership and is the subject matter expert responsible for the smooth operation of member activities for a specific industry sector portfolio. The Industry Relations Advisor expands and retains ARA’s membership by developing and implementing value-added programs for members, such as training, certification, advocacy programs and events that build positive relationships with industry stakeholders, business partners and relevant collision, mechanical and glass industry representatives.
This position offers flexibility to work from home and at the ARA office based in Burnaby, BC, with the expectation of regular travel to attend and support events promoting the ARA and connecting with their members. As part of this role, the Industry Relations Advisor will represent the organization at events, building relationships and driving engagement with ARA’s members.
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Industrial Relations professional with a passion and knowledge of the automotive sector. The preferred candidate will bring over five years of relevant experience working in the industry with a strong professional network. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak, present, and engage a diverse range of stakeholders. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative and creative team, responding to multiple opportunities, inquiries, and initiatives. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field will be considered
The salary for this position is $71,000 - $83,000 supplemented by a competitive total compensation package.
