Job Description

Are you skilled in facilities management and enjoy creating organized, functional spaces? Our client is looking for a Facilities Lead to oversee room setups, equipment maintenance, and building upkeep for a variety of events.

Our client is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through community engagement, social connection, and lifelong learning. With a mission centered on inclusivity and well-being. This role is crucial to enhancing their organization's operations, focusing on effective communication, community outreach, and program support.

 

What You'll Do:

Room and Equipment Set-Up:

  • Manage room setups and coordinate with cleaning staff and event planners.
  • Ensure equipment is operational and provide A/V and IT support for events.
  • Oversee event preparation, support, and takedown, including managing Zoom meetings.

Building Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical).
  • Conduct regular inspections of fixtures, windows, and furnishings.
  • Coordinate mandatory safety inspections and manage equipment breakdowns.

Storage Space Management:

  • Optimize storage space and maintain the storage management system.
  • Conduct bi-annual equipment audits and manage key and lock registries.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in facilities management or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn A/V and IT equipment management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
