Expeditor/CSR/Purchaser (One year contract)

Express Employment Professionals Cloverdale/ Langley office’s client located in the Campbell Heights (192st- 26ave) area of south Surrey. They are a medical supply company and are  looking for a contract fulltime Monday to Friday CSR/ Expeditor. The role is responsible for coordinating product deliveries to the required warehouse locations, ensuring desired inventory levels and avoiding customer backorders.   The position is accountable for identifying potential product shortages, working with suppliers to improve delivery dates, ensuring Purchase Order date integrity, and communicating order status to the business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure product arrives at the warehouse at the right time, maintaining desired inventory levels and avoiding customer backorders
• Use system tools and other methods to identify product shortages, potential shortages, and customer backorders
• Work directly with suppliers to identify challenges, find solutions, and improve delivery dates for products with current or expected shortages
• Ensure Purchase Order date integrity including PO confirmations, past due PO’s, backorders, logistics changes, etc.
• Communicate with sales and customer service in a timely manner to provide order status updates and support urgent order requests
• Collaborate with Supply Chain team members and other business departments to identify challenges, and potential solutions.
• Pro-actively review open orders with suppliers to ensure accuracy of system data.
• Completion of some system and process related tasks such as creation of purchase orders, stock adjustments, item data and supplier data changes, and customs clearance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, co-workers, and internal customers

Qualifications

• University or College
• Relevant work experience in a Supply Chain role, preferably in a distribution environment
• Excellent command of Microsoft tools, specifically Excel
• In depth experience using a business ERP system such as Epicor, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills in English

This is a Monday to Friday 7:30am- 4:pm job

The  pay is $43,000/ year
