Expected Salary Range: $62,081.00 - $77,600.00 - $96,999.00

Our typical hiring range will be +/- 5% of the midpoint shown above

The Team

Joining the Social Purpose and Marketing (SP&M) team at BCLC means you'll be working with a passionate, hardworking, employee focused team of professionals who are committed to putting people at the heart of everything we do. We focus on developing and implementing world class SP&M strategies, programs and practices across Communications and Government Relations, Social Purpose & Community and Stakeholder Engagement, Indigenous Relations, ESG, Customer Support Operations, Marketing, CRM and Loyalty.

The Role

The Executive Assistant, Social Purpose and Marketing plays a crucial role in facilitating the efficient and effective operation of our Chief Social Purpose Officer and VP, Marketing, concentrating on key decision making, communication, and day to day coordination. You'll get to take on a variety of tasks, problem solve, build relationships, learn about our business, and feel accomplished in ensuring smooth functioning of an executive's complex operations.

What you will accomplish
  • As a member of the SP&M leadership team, you will attend, participate and provide meeting support to the Chief Social Purpose Officer and VP, Marketing and senior SP&M leadership team.
  • You will develop and maintain strong, sensitive and diplomatic working relationships with executives, board of directors, and other internal & external stakeholders to provide solutions to complex issues.
  • You will prioritize and manage responses, expectations and deadlines.
  • You will coordinate and gather information to assist in the preparation of reports, business and operating plan documents, as well as board reports.
  • You will provide administrative support including managing calendars, communications; coordinating meetings, planning events, managing files and records, and submitting travel & expenses for the Chief Social Purpose Officer and VP, Marketing
Qualifications & skills
  • A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered
  • 5-7 years progressively responsible related experience, including at least five years' experience in a senior executive support role with business project management experience, budgeting and business planning exposure;
  • Post-secondary business education;

  • You possess exceptional administrative, organizational and time management skills, coupled with a robust working knowledge of creating dynamic presentations, agendas and minutes, generating reports, handling travel and expenses and managing records
  • You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing and you are able to build strong, trusting relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • You use sensitivity, diplomacy and tact when working with confidential information
  • You have excellent customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills
  • You are a self starter, able to anticipate what's needed and take action accordingly
It would be awesome if you also had
  • Experience with financial statements, budget process, general ledger and audit processes
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
