At WSP, our team is growing, and as a result we're adding a Civil Engineer-in-Training to our group. As part of the Land development and Municipal Engineering team in Langley, you'll be joining our municipal engineering & land development close-knit team of engineering specialists, professionals, and technical staff.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $60 000 - $ 82 600
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. A day in the life:
- Feasibility reports;
- Grading & earthworks calculations;
- Preliminary and Detailed Design of civil roadworks, water supply systems, sanitary sewers, and stormwater systems, stormwater management and erosion & sediment control during construction;
- Writing design reports;
- Construction services including site inspection and contract administration;
- Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D on projects from concept to completion;
- Attending design & site meetings with clients, consultants and contractors;
- Performing site inspections & investigations;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university;
- 0-3 years of experience in a consulting environment on municipal design projects;
- Eligibility for registration with EGBC;
- Previous experience in customer service and report writing is an asset;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D and municipal infrastructure modelling software is an asset;
- High attention to detail, highly motivated and enthusiastic team player;
- Capable of working independently;
- A driver's license and vehicle for work use.
