WSP is looking to add a Document Controller to our growing Energy and Resources team. You'll have the opportunity to interact with a open team that engages in a variety of projects both local and national. We are open to someone working out of any of our offices in Victoria, BC, Ontario and Alberta.

We are looking for a proficient and dynamic Mid-Level Engineering Document Controller who will be part of our growing team, providing essential support across multiple projects and clients in various industries. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities and effective collaboration skills while working with diverse global teams. This role is critical for administering engineering and vendor documentation, ensuring proper issuance and receipt, and applying concurrent engineering principles to enhance project efficiency.

Expected Salary (British Columbia): $53,100 - $73,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. - Oversee the organization, logging, and issuance of engineering and vendor documentation for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all documentation is properly classified, tracked, and is readily accessible to project stakeholders across various platforms and locations.
- Manage competing priorities and swiftly adapt to evolving project needs while maintaining the quality and accuracy of documentation.
- Support multiple projects by coordinating documentation flow in a fast-paced environment without compromising on standards.
- Work closely with engineering teams, clients document control, and vendors to gather requirements and ensure timely document delivery.
- Foster effective communication among teams globally, promoting best practices in document control.
- Maintain submittal control to avoid unauthorized modifications and ensure that latest versions are used.
- Apply knowledge of concurrent engineering principles to streamline documentation processes and enhance collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in integrating document workflows with engineering processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Document Control related programs, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in document control, preferably within engineering contexts across multiple industries.
- Knowledge of concurrent engineering concepts and principles.
- Proficient in administering engineering and vendor documentation, including receiving, data logging, issuing, and tracking.
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., INEight, SharePoint) and engineering practices; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for seamless interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BIM 360, Bluebeam and document control software.
