This role oversees developing and implementing strategic roadmaps, operational priorities, and innovative solutions across our Claims and Rehabilitation Services division. With accountability for key areas such as business quality, product management, inter-jurisdictional claims, and divisional planning, the Director will drive excellence through data-driven insights, collaborative leadership, and alignment with organizational objectives.

What you'll do
- Drive the implementation of WorkSafeBC and divisional strategies to deliver quality, client-focused services.
- Participate in strategy development, streamlining cross-departmental initiatives and ensuring measurable success of key projects.
- Provide overall leadership and management to the Divisional Planning, Coordination, and Support department to help the Claims and Rehabilitation Services division achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
- Assist operational directors in meeting divisional targets, with a focus on business planning and continuity, and system sustainment, improvement, and integration.
- Oversee the development and implementation of future state visions and roadmaps for the Claims Management System and related claims systems.
- Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and decision making while driving operational plans, setting priorities, and implementing initiatives.
- Foster a healthy and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, effective communication, and a culture of mutual support.

Your background and experience
- A bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of related and varied experience.
- A master's degree in business administration or public administration, PROSCI certification, or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset
- Several years of leadership experience, preferably in divisional or regional roles, with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams, deliver results, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and execution, project management and resourcing, particularly in regulatory or service-oriented environments.
- Strong leadership skills with success in managing complex projects and initiatives, including resource allocation, performance management, and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement large-scale operational and strategic plans.
- Expertise in data-driven decision making, risk management, and using analytics to inform strategies and enhance outcomes.
- Skilled in navigating interjurisdictional issues and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional skills in cross-functional team coordination, aligning goals and priorities, and fostering collaborative relationships across divisional and regional levels.
- Background in business product management or operational efficiency, with a proven ability to enhance service delivery and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work inclusively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
