Job Summary
The Teams:
The Fort St John Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) team consists of 6 Clinicians and an experienced and supportive Team Leader dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their community. This team is co-located with other Ministry of Children and Family Development services, and works closely with Northern Health, the local School District, a contracted psychiatrist and other community partners to provide a wide range of mental health supports for children, youth, and families facing moderate to severe mental health concerns. Known for their flexibility, creativity, and collaborative spirit, this team welcomes new members warmly and provides strong training and mentorship, ensuring they feel supported as they grow in their roles.
The dynamic South Peace CYMH team consists of 1 Team Leader with 6 Clinicians based in Dawson Creek and 1 Clinician based in Chetwynd. This team is co-located with other Ministry of Children and Family Development services, works closely with a contracted psychiatrist, and was included as one of the recently announced Pathway to Hope locations. The team is excited to be working collaboratively to establish an Integrated Child and Youth team in partnership with the School District, Health Authority, and local Indigenous communities.
The Quesnel Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) team consists of 5 Clinicians, 2 Support Workers and an experienced and supportive Team Leader dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their community. This team is co-located with other Ministry of Children and Family Development services, and works closely with Northern Health, the local School District, a contracted psychiatrist and other community partners to provide a wide range of mental health supports for children, youth, and families facing moderate to severe mental health concerns. Known for their flexibility, creativity, and collaborative spirit, this dynamic team welcomes new members warmly and provides strong training and mentorship, ensuring they feel supported as they grow in their roles.
The Role:
As a Clinician you will play a key role in supporting positive mental health outcomes by providing direct services such as assessments, individual and group treatment and related education to local children, youth, and their families impacted by mental health challenges. You'll also build strong relationships with local partners to deliver coordinated and effective care.
