Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Senior Associate

A career within Deals Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services will provide you with the opportunity to support our clients navigate a range of complex financial or operational issues facing their business. This could cash shortages, liquidity issues, balance sheet stress, increased cost base, shareholder disputes or a formal insolvency proceeding.Whatever the solution, we help them manage these challenges to a resolution.
Purpose-led work you'll be part of
As a Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Senior Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, working on complex issues and execut ing strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Identifying reasons for a business' underperformance and assessing the ongoing viability of the enterprise
• Analyzing financial results and assessing the enterprises' financial structure
• Developing recovery strategies and detailed financial models supporting a revised business plan for the enterprise
• Advising and assisting with the restructuring of the enterprises' capital structure through informal or formal court supervised restructuring processes
• Raising capital and executing distressed M&A strategies
• Identifying/developing and executing on rapid operational turnaround strategies
• Acting for secured lenders to recover their loans
• Work across multiple service offerings within PwC's Deals Practice as client demands change
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Analyzing financial statements/ financial reports
• Developing an understanding of a business' operations, the risks it faces and its critical success factors
• Building and manipulating financial models
• Preparing clear, concise and professional communications such as reports or presentations
• Analyzing business issues and exercising good judgment when making business decisions
• Employing strong project management skills to complete assignments that meet stakeholder expectations
• Working in a team environment
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
• Occasional travel required
This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
The salary range* for this position is $ 58,400.00 - $ 97,500.00 , plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
*Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region . Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location .
