Job Description

Our client located in Kelowna seeks a Class 1 driver, please note this job is not located in Delta, BC.

Driver will be driving around Kelowna/Vernon area. Shifts are 8 hours and can vary from morning (7am) to late afternoon 9 (pm)

Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations.
Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations across [region/country].
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues.
Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, logbooks, and vehicle checks.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and loading/unloading activities.
Interact with clients and other road users in a professional manner.
Ensure the vehicle is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage to goods during transit.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
Participate in any required training and development sessions.

Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
Proven experience as an HGV driver with a good understanding of logistics and transportation.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repairs is advantageous.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A good understanding of driver regulations, including hours of service and road safety.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy loads when necessary.
Good physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.
