Job Description
An established manufacturer of cabinets for predominantly single famliy residential projects is seeking an experienced Cabinet Design Engineer to join our design/engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing architectural drawings, design notes and supporting documentation to produce production drawings using Cabinet Vision / 2020 in a custom manufactuing environment.
- Prepare drawings for all cabinet products and purchased items, produce cutting lists and CNC programming as needed for all parts required, examine drawings for conformity and errors
- Consult with sales and project management staff on project design, materials requirements and engineering issues to recommend solutions - coordinating closely with the shop regarding product manufacture
- Investigate change orders and resolve issues as they arise, updating all drawings used in product development, construction and installation as changes occur
- Use Cabinet Vision / 2020 to produce code suitable for downstream production on CNC routers to optimize material usage.
- Fully utilize Cabinet Vision / 2020 software and intergrate its usage to other systems to optimize manufacturing production and installation efficiencies
- Assist in the preparation of work orders, stock requisitions for purchasing, and bill of materials.
- Support the streamlining of production processes to ensure the timely completion of scheduled projects
- Support a customer-focused culture that delivers high customer satisfaction and brand value through high quality, aesthetically pleasing product, delivered on time, with great communication
Qualifications:
- Must have 3-5 years of relevant design/draft, with some production/installation experience in a cabinetry or millwork manufacturing operation
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cabinet Vision / 2020 developing shop/production drawings; demonstrate advanced proficiency with Cabinet Vision / 2020 programming. Mozaik experience also acceptable.
- Knowledge of common casework and millwork construction materials (incl. sheet goods and hardware), tools and machines. Some hands on CNC programming experience preferred
- Working knowledge of cabinet/millwork processes, machining, assembly and finishing techniques
- Ability to provide leadership and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team through excellent communication, creativity, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a performance-driven, fast-moving organization with an excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage complex projects thru effective scheduling, execution, and strong communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated team player with a professional attitude
