The Opportunity:
WSP has a new opportunity for a Group Administratorto join our Mine Support team in a
full time position in ourVancouver, BC or Calgary, AB office. You'll provide administrative support to consulting professionals within the Mine Engineering and Stability Team, using your skills to support Project Managers and Consultants within the Earth and Environment Business.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $53,100 - $73,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. A day in the life:
- You will act as the point of contact for all general enquiries for the Mine Engineering and Stability Team including but not limited to:
- support Team Leaders and proactively anticipate their needs
- expense entry for senior staff
- expense review
- onboarding and offboarding
- CV updates
- meeting coordination and minute taking
- prepare group presentations
- coordinate travel arrangements
- coordinate social events
- first aid bookings for staff
- update and maintain group SharePoint sites, distribution and contact lists
- generate opportunity numbers in Oracle
- Word Processing Support for Earth and Environment Mining Canada
- format technical deliverables including proposals, letters, technical memorandums, reports, spreadsheets using MS office applications and WSP templates
- use Adobe to create and compile PDF documents
- liaise with Project Managers and Consultants to obtain document approvals
- Local office support for the Vancouver office including printing, scanning requests, and event setup
What you'll bring to WSP:
Positive Team Player Attitude!
- 3-5 years (or more) of work experience in a professional service environment.
- Attention to detail and ownership of delegated tasks.
- Good communication skills (listening, verbal and written), friendly and pleasant manner, with an ability to maintain composure while under pressure.
- The ability to take directions and seek clarification as needed.
- Able to prioritize competing responsibilities and communicate this to all involved in a manner that facilitates meeting deadlines as a team.
- Good problem-solving skillswith the initiative and ability to identify alternative solutions.
- Established comfort level with technology.
- Proficiency in Office 365 including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
- Ability to learn processes quickly and be flexible in changing circumstances.
- Excellent customer service skills to support both our external and internal clients.
- Valid Driver's license is an asset.
