Fortinet is recruiting a skilled Senior IT Specialist - Openstack to join our FortiStack team based out of Burnaby, BC. This team is responsible for building, developing, and operating our open source based private cloud infrastructure. This position would represent a great fit for Openstack specialists or IT professionals with a combination of virtualization, Openstack, storage and networking experience.

Your responsibilities in this position will include the following:

•Playing a leading role in the operation, maintenance and development of global private cloud infrastructure. •Focused on continuous improvement - always be looking for improvement, automation and optimization opportunities from the cloud •Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, both individually and as part of the broader team •Provide technical leadership, actively sharing knowledge across the Fortistack team and supporting your peers •Provide on call support as required
Job Requirements:

•Multiple years of experience in production platform deployment, maintenance and operation with the following knowledge and capabilities. •OpenStack, Ceph and OVS/OVN deployment, maintenance and operation •Computing virtualization KVM •Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) •Networking administration and industry standard protocols •Infrastructure monitoring (Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Grafana, etc.) •At least one programming language (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) •Excellent ability to organize, multitask, work individually and in a team •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus:

•Knowledge in container management (Kubernetes, Swarm, etc.) Experience in ISO27001
